The Cyber-Shot range of mobile phones from Sony Ericsson concentrate more on image quality produced from the integrated digital cameras than other models. The manufacturer uses this range to showcase their new camera features such as auto focus, LED flash, image editing software and automatic lens covers.

Although the latest addition to the range is a competent camera phone it also offers some other high specification features from some of the other model ranges.

Firstly, the Sony Ericsson K770i is a 3G enabled device allowing access to 3G services including news and sports headlines, new movie trailers and music videos. These can be viewed in streaming format direct from the mobile internet or downloaded at fast speeds onto the handsets memory.
3G also allows for face to face video calling, a service that can be used to make and receive video calls from users with compatible handsets, by selecting to video call the phone utilises a secondary camera situated on the front of the phone to show the face of the caller and when the line is connected the user sees the face of the receiver on their screen.
This can be a useful tool for business as well, estate agents currently use this technology to virtually show potential house buyers around properties with their mobile phone and 3G video calling.

The phone can also use the power of 3G to download new mobile content at lightening fast speeds such as new ringtones, games, wallpapers and themes.

The K770i boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera with a built-in LED flash for low light conditions, auto focus for quick and easy picture capture, an active lens cover that protect the lens when the camera in not in use and video record and playback support to record short video clips and view them on the large 240 x 320 pixel TFT display in 262,144 colours.

Once pictures have been taken, the user can share them in a number of different ways, Bluetooth technology is able to send the pictures wirelessly to compatible devices, fast email access means that they can be sent as attachments taking very little time to upload and send, the user can send them via SMS to most mobile phones and with the addition of picture blogging in the K770i the user can upload their favourites to their own personal blog space for friends and family to keep up to date.

The K770i also offers some impressive music features including an integrated MP3 player that can be filled with music tracks either by uploading from a PC with a micro USB cable, downloading direct from the mobile internet or received from other compatible Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. These tracks can then be organised into playlists to suit tempo, genre or mood.
Included in the music feature set is a new technology called TrackID, this is useful where the user can hear a piece of music but does not know the name of the artist or track, they can simply push a button to record a few seconds of whet they are hearing, the phone then sends the clip to a recognition database and sends back the information.

The Sony Ericsson K770i Purple Edition is to be joined by a Brown and Beige version shortly, all handsets offer the same specifications but housed in different coloured cases.
